Full time (37.5 hours per week)
Established in 1954 we are a one of the largest independent accountancy practices in the North East of England. Our practice is led by 8 directors with a team of over 70 staff.
Due to continued growth in our outsourced services division we are looking to recruit 2 full time management accountants within the team. This opportunity will offer you impressive exposure and responsibility ensuring your professional development and growth within the business.
Working with a varied client base including property , construction and manufacturing adds to the desirability of this position, enabling you to broaden and develop your experience.
The role
• Preparing management information
• Working on some of our larger clients
• Servicing an exciting and dynamic client base
• Opportunity to travel
• Working with cloud based technology and cutting edge software
Responsibilities
Responsible for the preparation of management information including:
• Prepare monthly / quarterly management accounts
• Reporting on periodic KPIs
• Preparing executive summaries
• Variance analysis (actual v budget v last year)
• Preparation of budgets and forecasts
• Adhoc training for clients
• Working continuously with clients to improve their systems
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations
• VAT returns when required
• Preparing a year end file
• Meeting monthly / quarterly deadlines
The ideal candidate
• Experience in preparing management accounts
• Enthusiastic and keen to work with some of the region’s best businesses
• Can carry out tasks unsupervised
• Possess a knowledge of accounting packages (Sage, Xero, Quick-books)
• Should be organised and can manage time efficiently
• Maintain high professional standards of conduct and practice
• Will need to work outside of normal working hours from time to time to meet deadlines
• Willingness to travel regularly within the region and occasionally outside of the region (own car, full UK driving licence – essential)
