Maxine Pott joins the board of the Port of Tyne

A LEADING Tyneside accountant has been appointed to the board of the Port of Tyne.

Maxine Pott, the head of corporate finance at Newcastle-based RMT Accountants and Business Advisors, has joined the deep sea port as a non-executive director.

Sir Ian Wrigglesworth, chairman of the Port of Tyne said: “I am delighted to welcome Maxine to the board. She is a highly respected accountant with a wealth of experience in finance and management who will bring further depth and insight to the independent non-executive board in what are exciting and challenging times ahead.”

Ms Pott has over 20 years’ experience in accountancy and business management. She is a former non-executive director of the Universal Building Society and Newcastle Building Society.

She said: “The Port of Tyne is an exciting business and I am looking forward to being part of the team steering it through the challenges ahead .”
